About this job

As a member of Morgan Stanley's Real Estate investment management team, the individual will play an integral role working with all senior staff members in fulfilling specific property and/or portfolio level responsibilities. Responsibilities will focus on providing analytical support for the acquisition and asset management teams utilizing Argus, Argus Enterprise and Excel software.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Cash flow Analysis

o Sensitivity analyses

o Update quarterly cash flow models

o Perform quarterly asset valuations

o In-depth valuation and hold/sell analyses

* Review and assist in preparation of budgets and preparation of strategic plans

* Prepare quarterly fund reports

* Analyze and review leases

* Work directly with asset managers, leasing and property management teams in approximately 30-35 assets

* Coordinate and review third-party independent appraisals as well as preparation of internal valuations

* Participate in ad hoc analyses on a regional basis

* Assist with acquisition and disposition due diligence and asset financings

Skills/Experience/Education Required:

* BA/BS required

* 2-4 years of real estate experience required

* Strong analytical and financial skills

* Strong working knowledge of cash flow modeling; Argus

* Knowledge of appraisal fundamentals

* Strong communication skills given the need to communicate effectively in oral and written form with senior management, property staff, colleagues and members of the real estate community

* Ability to work within a team and under tight deadlines

* High commitment and strong self-motivation

* Strong work ethic

* Proactive; self-motivated and goal oriented

* Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
