Position is responsible for product merchandising of the Ashworth golf apparel line from initial range planning to the end of the product lifecycle. In addition, this person will steer category projects to streamline efficiencies and profitability around the US inline business. This position reports to the Commercial Strategy/Merchandising Director and will work closely with the global apparel, global brand marketing and US sales teams.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

* Select seasonal assortment from global range that meets US market objectives for styling, profitability, corporate SKU initiatives, including and supporting key global product launches.

* Create product merchandising plan for US region.

* Serve as the liaison between global product marketing and sales, providing critical feedback to the global product marketing team from sales, and vice versa.

* Conduct market research and competitive analysis within golf and fashion marketplace in US region. Know your customer.

* Create seasonal product briefs with full market and product analysis.

* Work closely with sales management to create programs to drive futures as well as minimizing closeout opportunities.

* Manage product forecast and participate in bi-monthly buys with planning and buying departments, making key recommendations and ensuring correct assortments and quantities; consideration of core style in stock planning, key launch dates, and ATP.

* Maintain optimal inventories and meet or exceed designated inventory turn objectives.

* Conduct preline meetings with key accounts; establish relationships with buyers in all channels.

* Work strategically with account managers and sales management to establish booking goals.

* Create and prepare visual merchandising pages for sales force and key accounts.

* Manage sample orders and requests (forecasts and buy).

* Brief marketing communications on creation of sales materials, such as catalog and iPad sales tools.

* Present at sales meetings and to internal departments.

* Work closely with corporate division to plan assortment and create SMU's.

* Team player working with merchandising and assistant merchandising employees.

* Update and maintain internal showrooms and create product displays throughout corporate headquarters. Coordinate seasonal sample line and maintain sample room. Maintain log of all incoming and outgoing sample products.

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, or closely related field, highly desirable.

* Strong interest in apparel and passion for golf

* Ability to analyze data and reach meaningful conclusions

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

* 3-5 years Apparel product marketing and/or merchandising experience, preferably in golf industry

* Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; and Adobe Illustrator or InDesign.

* Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Strong attention to detail and well organized.

* Ability to follow up to make sure things are done correctly and in a timely manner.

* Lead and coordinate multiple projects and tasks.

* Ability to work within highly collaborative team environment

* Strong eye for product and visual product merchandising.

Ability to travel domestically up to 20% of time.
