Currently, Meijer is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Services Technician (HVAC/Refrigeration) - Level III.
The individual selected for this position will be responsible for scheduled and emergency maintenance of equipment and facilities within our distribution facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Observing mechanical devices to locate and troubleshoot problems
- Installing, maintaining and repairing various systems
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Total mechanical maintenance and repair including, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and other
mechanical equipment
- Comprehensive understanding and experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic repair of conveyor
systems and mechanical/electrical production and facility equipment
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and system issues
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance guides/manuals
- EPA Refrigerant certification, A & B, Type 1 & Type 2 or Universal
- Strong background in CPC and BCU
- PC proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook would be beneficial
- Self starter with the ability to work independently
- 5 years of refrigeration experience
- 5 years of HVACR experience (Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration)
- Experience with EPA standards for refrigerant usage
-Experience with computerized control systems will be helpful
- Customer focused, excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
- Valid-unrestricted Driver's License
- Available to work on an on-call schedule
- Ability to travel with overnight stays
