Job Responsibilities:
· Mastery of all duties and responsibilities of a Food Service Associate.
· Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing company standards.
· Assess store condition and customer service levels
· Enforce food safety and sanitation standards
· Reports any violations of company policy or food safety standards immediately to Food Service Supervisor
· Direct that food service items are prepared in accordance to standard operating procedures
· Collaborate with Food Service Supervisor to diagnose and solve issues. Identify trends and develop targets for the betterment of the organization.
· Ensures that company standards are maintained on food service equipment by directing proper cleaning procedures and preventative maintenance.
· Manage controllable costs by educating food service team on procedures for reducing food waste, managing salary, cash, margin objectives and day-to-day operations expenses
· Maximize store sales by directing merchandise programs, schematics and plus selling programs.
· Manage a staff of approximately three to five Food Service Associates.
· Recruit, hire, train and retain the best food service personnel.
· Exhibit the ability to be an active listener. Responding appropriately through words and actions.
· Coach and develop a successful team that consistently surpasses customers’ needs with excellent customer service.
· Schedules Food Service Associates for shifts and organizing store coverage
· Counsel and provide feedback to food service store team members on the lines of products carried and the implementation of proper standard operating procedures.
· Comply with Food Service Category Manager directives.
· Use window based PC systems, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook for email.
Physical Requirements:
· Lift 60 lbs. or more
· Navigate in small spaces (kitchen area, cooler, back rooms, and sheds)
· Stand for 8 to 10 hours a day continuously
· Bend at knees, repetitiously (20-30 times a day)
· Walk briskly
· Shovel snow/Sweep/Mop
