SUMMARY: Move containers and trucks into position as required. Keep parking lot organized. Keep fire lanes open. Keep inventory of all trucks on lot for Receiving and Shipping. When not moving containers, driving must be able to work in other departments as assigned.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Physical activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job are standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, unilateral and bilateral movement, stooping, crouching, kneeling and reaching.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job are lifting merchandise items, materials, or boxed parts weighing up to 70 pounds from floor to waist height and moving a lateral distance of 20 feet. Other items might weigh more and each associate must seek assistance when lifting anything over 70 pounds. Sitting, driving, backing under trailers and cranking containers up and down are also commonly associated with this job.
VISUAL ACUITY: Visual activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of the job are clarity of vision at 20 inches or less with the ability to bring objects into sharp focus while reading a printed form or screen.
ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS: Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functsion of this job are normal warehouse conditions and outdoor (hot and cold) conditions when working in the yard.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE: CDL (Class A), high school diploma or GED, experience moving containers and working in warehouse conditions.
EXPERIENCE: Experience driving tractor trailers, moving equipment, backing trucks and must also be able to work in the warehouse when not driving. Unloading and loading trucks. Clean driving record.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK AIDS: Usual warehouse equipment and yard dog.
LICENSES REQUIRED: Class A CDL.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: No DWI's within the last 10 years. Must have a good driving record. No more than one ticket within the last two years.
