Currently working with a client looking for a strong Quality Engineer to join their team. This is a long term opportunity looking to breed the next quality manager in the organization. This person will have the following responsibilities, and will be working towards management within the next few years.

Summary
Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for the development and manufacture of products
Responsibilities
Analyze quay performance utilizing statistical and analytical tools and analytical tools and methods
Implement methods to inspect test and evaluate reliability, precision, reliability and accuracy of process, products and production equipment
Develop and establish quality procedures and systems for inspecting plans, quality trends, statistical plan price estimates and technical quality proposal plans
Ensure process control documents adhere with set requirements
Ensure on time processing of non-conforming components
Assist disposition process by involvement in failure analysis and suggest corrective actions
Coordinate with suppliers and customers relating to quality trends, performance and corrective action
Verify conformance and productivity of quality engineering system through supplier audits and surveys
Initiate programs to enhance supplier performance
Interact with product development teams to inspect and review engineering releases
Review all product quality aspects like planning, manufacturing methods and process specifications
Interact with manufacturing team to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks
Assist manufacturing scrap performance evaluation and management
Manage internal system audits and assist with 5S audits
Perform other duties as requested or required

Qualities:

  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word and Excel preferred).
  • Must be self-motivated, have strong written and verbal communications skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or TS16949 quality systems (ISO 14001 environmental systems a plus).
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
