Summary: Ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in a consistent and controlled atmosphere providing gift shop products.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating all functions of the gift shop, including inventory, ordering re-stocking of the gift shop.
Training, supervising and scheduling of all gift shop staff.
Interact with other departments to ensure that guest's needs are satisfied.
Speak with guests in a friendly, warm manner, making them feel welcome.
Assist Manager in monthly inventory.
Adhere to all policies regarding employee purchases and gift shop employee purchases.
Ensure the delivery of all items called for from guest rooms by confirmation with guests and verify guest room number for room charges.
Ensure that the lobby public areas are maintained, clean tidy by liaison with the Housekeeping Dept.
Interact with other departments to ensure that guest needs are satisfied.
Do not leave merchandise unsecured.
Follow proper procedure for payment of goods sold.
Maintain a cash bank.
Comply at all times with Omni standards regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Be thoroughly acquainted with all guest scenarios and utilize at all times.
Job Requirements
Must have two or more years of supervisory experience in a similar, high quality retail establishment.
Must have a flexible schedule and is required to work a variety of shifts including mornings and evenings, as well as weekends and holidays.
Must have experience in budget control, inventory, training, problem resolution, decision making and multi-tasking.
Must have the ability to train others.
Ability to stand throughout entire shift.
TABC Permit and Food Handler's Permit.
