MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

NON-AUTO DIRECT HIRE LEADERSHIP ROLE

Are you ready for an exciting career move into a leadership role in Maintenance for a well-known and well-respected local manufacturer? As a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician, you will be the lead person in this group reporting directly to the Plant Manager to launch new non-automotive consumer products and work with current production. This person must be ready to take on additional responsibilities and potentially take on a management role as the company grows and expands its business.

SUMMARY:

Performs all tool work on plant equipment operations, installs large equipment and components. Overall responsibility for facility maintenance. Follows all plant safety rules and established maintenance department procedures, and updates all changes on hydraulic, pneumatic, and building prints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs all precise tool work
  • Performs complex troubleshooting of mechanical equipment
  • Modifies programming of robots and related equipment such as robot controllers and programmable controllers
  • Installs large equipment, components and systems with and without outside services
  • Plans, builds and installs new machinery at an engineering level
  • Advises manufacturing of suggestions that would optimize production and minimize downtime and scrap
  • Provides direction the maintenance department and other maintenance employees
  • Trains other maintenance personnel to increase their skills
  • Maintains good housekeeping
  • Recognizes safety hazards on equipment and in the plant and initiates corrective action
  • Follows lockout procedures and plant safety rules
  • Performs and maintains preventative maintenance program
