Electrician

* Electricians will be working on a new commercial construction jobsite at the Duval Charter Schools.
* Electricians must have 3+ years commercial electrical experience. Experience must be recent, within the last year.
* Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures, using hand and power tools.
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to located the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.
* Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
* Upgrade existing wiring.
* Read and interpret blueprints.
* Install/replace fuse boxes.
* Install new lightning.
* Repair motors, transformers, generators and electronic controllers.
* Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and ensure compliance with codes.
* Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
* Contractors will be using basic hand tools. A cordless drill is a PLUS. No special tools needed.
* Must have reliable transportation.
* Must be available to work 7 days a week.
* Contractors will be required to wear PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses and Steel-Toed Boots.
