POSITION PURPOSE -
The Lead Developer has expert knowledge in one or more programming languages or databases. Excellent understanding of the entire project life cycle. Responsible for requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. Must present ideas to review boards. The Lead Developer must work closely with architects to ensure proper system design. Ensures highest quality implementations from design through QA to production. Must be able to anticipate hardware and software design needs. The Lead Developer must have the ability to view packages and products to determine their viability within the solution being considered, or if they would be a good solution in other areas.

Duties:
•View software packages, products and define, prioritize, plan and implement solutions across multiple complex projects.
•Provide status reports to Manager and review boards on complex development projects.
•Ensure compliance and conduct appropriate test reviews as necessary.
•Keep up with the latest mobile industry practices and technologies.
•Code low level libraries and be self-sufficient to solve complex frameworks for the enterprise retail solutions.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
An expert in retail processes at a large retailer, most specifically store processes including inventory management, loss prevention and customer facing applications.
• An expert with a retail data model
• An expert with Microsoft Development technologies (.NET, .NET Compact Framework) like .NET CF 2.0, .NET CF 3.5 and Windows Mobile 6.0/6.5 SDK with Gesture libraries.
• An expert in creating Custom Controls that helps in better Usability.
• An expert in HTML5 (Backbone, Bootstrap and/or Marionette would be helpful)
• An expert in Java technologies
• An expert in J2EE web service technologies
• An expert with different mobile devices (like Motorola, Intermec)
