We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Maintenance Engineer.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for optimizing the shareholders assets and reducing downtime of the various production units. This will be accomplished through coordination and motivation of the maintenance teams in their day to day operations and by implementation of maintenance techniques and process improvements.

Direct, manage, motivate and schedule maintenance employees in their day to day work to ensure safe and timely completion of work orders.

MAINTENANCE PLANNING
Ensure that all major shutdowns are properly planned and parts are available.
Coordinate outside contractors performing daily work as well as scheduled shutdown repairs.



SAFETY
Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
Maintain safe and environmentally sound operation of units through periodic safety meetings, encourage reporting of all incidents, investigation and corrective actions proposal for all incidents, as well as ensuring that no major environmental incidents occur via proper inspections.

PROJECTS
Implement improvement projects (scope, cost estimation, request capital money, supervision of fieldwork, commissioning).
Investigate frequent equipment failures to help identify root cause and implement long-term solutions.


Required:

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering. .
Experience in food, pharma or similar manufacturing.
Knowledge of industrial maintenance techniques (PM, PDM, CMMS, RCM, TPM).
Understanding of god engineering and safety practices.
Ability to coordinate, train, and motivate hourly employees and outside contractors.
