About this job
The clinical support position performs all nursing functions appropriate for a physician medical practice including, but not limited to: assisting staff physician, patient assessment, blood drawing, and injection administration, patient education, ordering of medical supplies, assist with other office functions as needed. The CMA position is under the direct supervision of the Clinical Provider. Education
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant.
- Current/active BLS certification
Skills/Experience
- 1-2 years medical office experience preferred in an ER/Urgent Care setting
- Excellent clinical/interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal with multiple personalities in an older patient demographic base
- Flexible and motivated
- Familiar with procedure and diagnosis coding
- Phlebotomy experience
- Computer proficiency
- Performs all aspects of patient care
- Works with other disciplines and ancillary services in the care they provide
