About this job

Manufacturing Technicians participate in all aspects of production processes including but not limited to loading raw materials, operating SPC Lens Inspection, SAP final record review, operating secondary packaging equipment, performing lot changes, improving yields, using calibrated measurement equipment, troubleshooting and using support equipment such as sterilizers and tool drums.

Interact closely with lens inspectors to identify defects and perform corrective actions as necessary. Perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments, and conduct Autonomous Maintenance and 5s duties. Coordinate downtime to ensure efficient use for maintenance, corrective actions, and cleaning. Be proficient in computer use and enter data into MES and SAP data bases. Work closely with engineers to perform validations as needed. Actively participate in natural work groups to address day-to-day business activities, safety, quality, and training needs. ISO/FDA/GMP compliance. Select and load raw materials, operate Linear Table and secondary packaging equipment, perform lot changes and cleaning per schedules and coordinate machinery downtime. Troubleshoot equipment faults and enter product and raw materials data into MES and SAP databases. Operate production support equipment as needed. Perform minor equipment repairs and adjustments, and conduct Autonomous Maintenance and 5s duties. Monitor processes to ensure quality product is produced, perform corrective actions as necessary. Perform in-process product quality checks. Optimize maximum process efficiency and take action for continuous improvement. Participate in natural work groups to define problems and implement solutions. Work with engineers to execute equipment validations. Cross train and train others on other areas of Dailies Total 1 production.

Minimum requirements High School Diploma. English 1 year high paced manufacturing environment with semi and automated equipment. Experience with a team based environment; participation and understanding of six sigma concepts, continuous improvement projects, 5S concepts and total productive maintenance concepts. Good oral/written communication, process troubleshooting/problem solving, computer skills, attention to detail, understanding of semi/automated equipment theory & operation, basic lens design, Possess excellent teamwork skills.
