Registration Clerk-PRN - Full-time / Part-time

Facilitate payment of fees for services for all self-pay insured patients. Determine patient's financial responsibility for all deductibles, co-insurance, and out of pocket amounts due at time of service. Serves as a registrar for emergency, outpatients, and admissions by obtaining vital information from the patient and/or patient's representative for accurate medical and financial records. Demonstrates customer service techniques as financial assessor. Demonstrates ability to train other staff members. Demonstrates ability to operate switchboard for internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned.High School or GED preferred. Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training preferred. Six months previous healthcare experience preferred. Prior admissions, customer service and/or public relations experience preferred.
