What will I be doing?



A Napua Tower Food Attendant with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is responsible for assisting in setting-up and maintaining buffet area. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist all guests in the Napua Tower with their requests. Make sure to touch tables throughout the service times.

  • Pick up all pastries and desserts from the Bake shop, cold food from the Pantry, and hot food from the Cook and transport to designated locations or buffets.

  • Assemble all finished food on buffet. Refill buffet items as necessary. Ensure that items are kept fresh and shelf items have not expired. Break down buffet area after service is done.

  • Clean and clear tables. Clean and sanitize all food/beverage dispensers, chaffing dishes, juice dispensers, fruit bowls, condiment bowls, and pastry trays. Takes dishes down to Stewarding.

  • Place requisition for the next day.

  • Pick up food/beverage orders from the storeroom.

  • Maintain necessary food items and equipment according to par. Report any shortages of supply to the manager.

  • Keep buffet areas and storage closets clean and organized.



What are we looking for?


EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.



EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the knowledge, skill, and ability of food preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.



GROOMING
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).



OTHER
Tuberculosis clearance required


Must be available a minimum of 3 days per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)


 


SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Must have basic knowledge of food preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently to understand menus, and communicate with guests.
  • Ability to remember and recite buffets items.
  • Sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available for this position. Only local candidates will be considered.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs with our without reasonable accommodation.
