Human Resources Assistant

 

Northwest Staffing Resources is partnered with an award winning retail fixture manufacturing company in Everett to find a Human Resources Assistant.  With over 40 years in the business, this company succeeds in adapting to the ever changing market to stay competitive and provide results for their clients including Starbucks, Alaska Airlines, Costco, AT&T, Verizon and many more!  The Human Resources Assistant will be committed to providing support in recruiting, benefits administration, policies and procedures, orientations, and employee relations.  This requires high value collaboration with all departments. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit temporary and regular associates, including sourcing, interviewing, reference checking, job offers
  • Coordinate with temporary and recruiting agencies
  • Ensure drug testing and background checks are completed per procedures
  • Conduct new hire orientations and successful on-boarding
  • Process new hire paperwork and related system updates
  • Conduct benefits orientations
  • Process benefits administration
  • Coordinate timely performance reviews by managers
  • Facilitate safe practices throughout the organization and model a high level of safety consciousness
  • Process L&I claims and follow up throughout claims
  • Update chemical HAPS spreadsheet monthly 
  • Coordinate quarterly company newsletter
  • Facilitate positive employee relations
  • Update job descriptions, policies and procedures
  • Participate in Associate training and development
  • Support other departments as needed
  • Facilitate compliance with all employment related regulations and local, state, and Federal laws
  • Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
