REQUIREMENTS

This is a fulltime, career service position providing advanced and specialized nursing care in Family Planning, Communicable Disease and routine well exams for children and adults in the clinics of Dixie, Gilchrist and Levy County Health Departments. We are looking for team player, exceptional clinical skills, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

This position shall provide health supervision to clients and be able to motivate clients and community toward behavioral changes that will improve their health and well-being. This nursing position must be licensed with the State of Florida as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. This position works under the general supervision of the Senior Community Health Nursing Director, within the guidelines of protocols established with a physician. This position normally works 8am-5pm Monday thru Friday (40 hrs.) but must report to work after hours; if called- in the event of an emergency. Must be licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida. Must have at least one year of experience working as an ARNP. Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle and must be willing to provide services to the Tri County area. Must be willing to work with diverse populations. Experience providing well care to children and adults preferred. Experience inserting's IUDs and Hormonal Implants preferred. Experience in Women's Health preferred.

Ability to talk to others to effectively convey information

Knowledge of Social Perceptiveness- Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react the way they do

Knowledge of information and Skilled in techniques needed to diagnose and treat injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventative healthcare measures.

Knowledge of basic computer software and familiarity with Electronic Health Records.
