THE POSITION

The Lead Valet is responsible for providing support to the Drive Team Supervisor when directly supervising the valet attendants on each shift as well as being responsible for the operation and support of the valet operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school desired;
• Minimum of one year automotive dealership experience desired, preferably as a lead or manager;
• Knowledge mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and there application;
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

• Trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of all valets.
• Answers guest questions over the phone, email, and in-person.
• Handles guest’s concerns that demand management’s attention tactfully, promptly, and with genuine concern for the guest’s problems.
• Acknowledges and greets guests upon arrival to create favorable impression
• Maintains a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests and team members.
• Drives vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Installs and removes disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags in all the vehicles brought in for service.
• Maintains the parking lot in a neat and organized manner.
• Makes sure all the vehicles in the service parking lot are kept locked.
• Assists in moving disabled vehicles in or around the service department.
• Retrieves customer vehicles from the parking lot.
• Delivers and picks up guests, as needed.
• Inspects each vehicle for lot damage that may have been occurred during the vehicle’s stay in the service department.
• May record any external vehicle damage (scratches, dents) and vehicle information on check-in sheet and submits to designate personnel.
• Follow all company safety policies, operations and practices.
• Assist in all areas of the service department, as needed.
• Maintain high ethical standards.
• Maintain professional appearance at all times.
