FULL OR PART-TIME MECHANIC FOR HIRE
Well known antique and classic automotive restoration company located in Palm Springs, California is looking for full or part-time mechanic technician specializing in early year model engines, transmissions and suspensions.Pay is competitive and based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with shop and factory standards.Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair as authorized.
Advise service manager immediately if any additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed with the promised time.
Road test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed the customer complaint.Quality check of work and document work performed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education and experience of eight years in an auto repair facility.ASE certifications a plus.Keep a clean, organized and professional work area, including your toolbox and workbench.Knowledgeable operating shop equipment.
Must be very familiar with General Motors vehicles.Must have five years experience with strong diagnostic, electrical, fabrication and restoration troubleshooting skills.Must be skilled welder.Must be well oriented to work independently, self-motivated in regards to learning about new systems, tools and information on the latest technology.
Must have proven track record and references.Must have your own tools.
