Sodexo is seeking a Custodial Manager 1 in Environmental Services at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. This facility has over 2.1 million cleanable square feet. The services provided consist of housekeeping, linen, waste management, and office moves. This position is part of a team of 9 managers responsible for 80 union employees. The candidate will oversee 20 hourly employees.
Candidate should have excellent customer service, negotiation and project planning skills, along with a great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Confidence in computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is required. This is a physical job requiring the ability to walk 70% of shift, operate equipment and provide hands on training.
This is a day shift however may need to cover evenings in the absence of management. This role will also be required to work other shifts including weekends and holidays based on business needs.
Position Summary
Supervises hourly staff providing custodial service to client. Responsible for work force planning, Quality Assurance training and administrative functions for designated area. Typically reports to General Manager or Operations Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
