POSITION TITLE: Supervisor, Security


Purpose Statement:
The purpose of this position is to supervise security personnel and oversee physical security in a manner consistent with Time Warner Cable policies, procedures, quality, standards, customer needs and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Oversees the activities of the departments security coordinators which are conducting regular audits of internal security systems to determine vulnerabilities and formulate remediation plans to correct any identified issues; define goals, timelines and costs for all projects. Works with other leaders of the security department and other staff functions to understand and suggest improvements to the security environment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Physical Security
o Monitors existing security systems and responds to emergency situations on a 24/7 basis

o Maintains and assesses security systems for repair, quality and effectiveness and to determine potential of physical security upgrades and modifications; this includes consulting with various department directors and managers to obtain information regarding departmental needs

o Oversees implementation and use of electronic security systems, closed circuit television (CCTV), entry controls, burglar alarms, ultrasonic motion detectors, outdoor perimeter, and microwave alarms, including monitoring and auditing these systems

o Responsible for the selection and deployment of guard services for the area assigned

o Responsible for the selection and deployment of contracted security companies hired for equipment upgrades, maintenance, and installation of physical security systems

o Establishes, implements, and monitors appropriate secure cash handling procedures at payment centers

o Manages the issuance of access control codes, ensures proper training, and investigates issues for improper use for TWC employees and contractors

o Ensures proper testing and evaluation of the physical security system in the assigned area and substitute with area of assignment

o Ensures proper training of employees on activation and deactivation of security alarm system in the assigned area

o Is available as a contact for building alarms and emergencies at all assigned locations

o Identify gaps in physical security and take any necessary corrective action

o Responsible for the Facility Security Assessments in the assigned area

o Develop and deliver security awareness training programs

o Conduct regular security audits of contractors

o Ensures compliance with all internal audit requirements

o Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Required Experience/Education:

o Associates Degree in a related field, Bachelors preferred, and four years related experience, or
equivalent combination of education and experience required

o Two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity required


• Required Special Skills/Knowledge, Abilities:

o Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills, as well as the maturity and ability to deal with all levels of people, both inside and outside the company required

o Knowledge of federal, state or local regulations affecting theft of cable service required

o Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications required

o Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion required

o Ability to read and write in English and use arithmetic skills accurately to complete daily paperwork required

o Accuracy and attention to detail required

o Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with
management, co-workers, and customers required

o Valid driver’s license and compliance with Time Warner Cable’s vehicle safety operations
policy required

o Projects a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees, and the Company

o Ability to work hours outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification required
