 MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

Gain proficiency in at least one programming language/development skill set by developing code or writing programs for small-scale projects within assigned technical area based on business requirements documents and/or technical design documents.

 Assist with unit testing by creating test plans and executing unit tests. Present findings to management.

 Follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards.

 NATURE AND SCOPE -

Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology

 1. No direct responsibility for supervising others.

 ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

 EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

 YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 0

 PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

 ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -

Java development with focus on web development (JSP, Servlet, JMS, JDBC, J2EE Security, Struts)

 Understanding of standard web frameworks and languages (HTML, CSS, Javacript, AJAX)

 Knowledge of standard web service development frameworks and methodologies (SOAP and RESTful)

 Experience with standard SQL against DB2/UDB, Informix, mySQL or SQLServer

 Familiarity with Rich Internet Application Development (FLEX, Silverlight)

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -

Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner.
