CNC Machinist-Mold Maker - Full-time / Part-time

Summary

Head up and lead jobs independently on Fadal & Haas c-n-c machining centers.
Be able to hold close tolerances on both manual and c-n-c machine centers.
Must be able to work from sketches, CAD drawings and from verbal instructions.
Trouble shooting mold problems in the press and on the bench, Must be neat, organized and keep work area clean.

Description
Head up and lead jobs independently on Fadal & Haas c-n-c machining centers. Be able to hold close tolerances on both manual and c-n-c machine centers. Must be able to work from sketches, CAD drawings and from verbal instructions .Trouble shooting mold problems in the press and on the bench, Must be neat, organized and keep work area clean.

Responsibilities
-Establish daily schedules and plans to support efficient 24/7 production operation
-Schedule and coordinate mold repairs, reworks and rebuilds using resources within and outside the company
-Participate with Manufacturing, Scheduling, Purchasing, Engineering and QA in the identification and resolution of mold issues
-Participate in the design, fabrication and commissioning of molds for new products
Requirements
-Minimum ten (10) years plastic injection mold making experience
-Must have CNC programming and CNC machine operation experience
-Must be CAM (preferably SurfCam), CAD (preferably Solid Works), Excel and Word proficient
-Must posses strong oral and written communication skills, interact well with other and be a positive team member
-Must have sound judgment and decision making capabilities
-Must be able to work in a tool room, in a production environment, with frequently changing priorities
-Must be able to work with minimum instruction and work in a team environment
-Must be able to multi task jobs ( like the ability to run two c-n-c’s at once)
-Must have strong manual Mill and Lathe skills as well as a good mechanical aptitude
-Aluminum Tig welding would be a plus
-Must have their own tools.

Work Conditions

-Normal machine shop environment
-Some heavy lifting, prying, pushing and pulling required
