The purpose of the Front Desk Associate is to provide excellent customer service. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for the efficient and courteous operation of the front desk.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Check guests in/out in the most efficient and courteous manner.
Make reservations in the most courteous and efficient manner.
Make room moves and stay over requests for guests as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
Collect balances and post appropriate room charges. Answer and transfer calls using proper telephone etiquette.
Answer questions about local restaurants and attractions.
Give accurate directions to the resort and local attractions.
Make courtesy calls and follow up calls to all guest issues.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth response to guest requests.
The front desk associate is also responsible for running night audit during PM shifts for the day, as needed or directed; which may include: running end reports and reconciliation of revenues deposited by the front desk staff. You are accountable for the accurate balances of the front desk cash drawers and reporting discrepancies to resort accounting along with any explanation of these discrepancies. The front desk associate prepares all reports including registration cards for the next day arrivals as well as advising of no show guests and the allocation of forfeited advance deposits and close out credit card transactions .
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The front desk associate will be responsible for any other duties assigned by their Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
* Minimum of one year customer service experience
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with guests, associates, and the general public.
* Have knowledge of local area attractions and entertainment.Must be able to work independently. Must be able to interact with a wide range of people.
* Ability to constantly bend, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, walk, push,, manual dexterity
* Ability to constantly lift up to 50 lbs
* Ability to work schedule based on business demands, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, etc
