Job Description
Provides direct and indirect patient care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in the clinic setting. Identifies and assesses the holistic needs of patients and families. Collects and evaluates patient data and reports significant findings for patient populations served within the Dept. of Internal Medicine, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, NP or Physician. Administers medications, treatments and performs procedures within the scope of a Licensed Practical Nurse. Assists with patient/family education according to established guidelines. Functions as a team member and displays professionalism while interacting with patients, patient families providers and co-workers. Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing and clinic policies, protocols and procedure standards. Assists the dept. in meeting meaningful use measures and an active team member in MMoCC (Mayo Model of Community Care.
Basic Qualifications:
Active LPN License with eligibility to practice practical nursing in the State of Wisconsin. Current BLS certification.
Other Qualifications:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge. Problem Solving. Team Building
License or Certification:
Benefit Eligible: Yes
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 80 hours per pay period
Schedule Details: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:15 pm. Holidays per MCHS policy
Weekend Schedule: N/A
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $16.21 per hour.
