We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician in our Bryan, TX facility.
Job Responsibilities:
The Electrician is responsible for maintaining all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment as directed by his or her direct supervisor in a manner consistent with cost, quality and safety requirements of Honeywell.
* Work independently with minimal supervision
* Work involves a high degree of manual and technical competency
* Effectively troubleshoot electrical equipment, such as: motors, heaters, controls and safety circuits
* Read and understand blue prints, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), (Process Flow Diagrams)PFD's
* Execute electrical corrective and preventative maintenance functions on all manufacturing equipment
* Installation and repair of fixtures, raceway, wiring systems, motors, pumps and other electrical equipment
* Active participation in Honeywell Structured Safety Process, Honeywell Operating System, Maintenance Excellence, and continuing personal learning and training to achieve site/business goals
* Work closely with engineers, general contractors and other craftsman
* Participate in achieving the company quality goals
* Operates in compliance with all company safety practices
* Modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds
* Actively participate in Maintenance Excellence program
* Complete and maintain internal safety training requirements (confined space, lock-out/tag-out)
* Train for and perform other tasks as needs are presented
* Abide by all safety guidelines and work instructions of Honeywell
* Demonstrate personal leadership in safety
* All new employees are expected to work directly with a trainer and to follow this trainer's instruction until proficiency/qualification is achieved
WORK ENVIRONMENT - PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Basic Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED.
* 2 years experience in an electrician role or A.A.S Degree in Electrical Maintenance or equivalent with training.
Additional Qualifications:
* Electrical journeyman license preferred
* Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Distributive Control System (DCS) experience a plus
* Familiarity with computers; Microsoft Office and other software systems
* Working knowledge of special tools and equipment associated with trades
* Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities as required
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
* Ability to work in an industrial environment with prolonged standing and walking
* Communicate well both verbal and written
* Ability to work individually or as part of a team and be dependable and cross-functional
