Administrative Assistant - Collaboration Technology Group (CTG) The Business Entity The Collaboration Technology Group (CTG) is bringing uncompromised collaboration to every room, desk, pocket, and application. Its portfolio includes collaboration software, devices, infrastructure, and services that enable video collaboration, unified communications, conferencing, and mobility. The Tropo BU within CTG is responsible for building the developer enablement platform and ecosystem for CTG's portfolio. The Team The Tropo BU is chartered with building the developer enablement platform and ecosystem for CTG's portfolio. Role & Responsibilities In this role, you will provide analytical support, perform research and aid in decision making. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, independent judgment, and a deep understanding of both strategic and tactical business needs. Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as detailed management and leadership capabilities are a must. The administrative professional plays a key role in Cisco's continued growth and success. In addition to the general administrative duties of an Administrative Assistant, daily tasks are carried out at a higher level of complexity. Providing specialized analytical support to assist the executive on special projects. This includes researching issues, analyzing problems, determining approaches, compiling data and preparing reports. This individual will interface with and coordinate activities between various departments and outside parties. Work is generally of a critical and confidential nature. Refers (filters) routine matters to appropriate parties and follows up to ensure proper disposition. Uses tact and diplomacy and practical knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures in day to day work. We're looking for candidates with/who: * Prior Senior Director or above support experience * Thrive in chaos and are not easily rattled by constant change * Can handle super high volume office * Can make decisions in the absence of complete info * Are travel gurus and obsessed with details * Can research and recommend solutions to problems * Can resolve matters before they turn to issues * Are highly effective with little to no direction/supervision * Embrace the latest Collaboration apps and devices, knowledgeable about our products * Are excited about Collaboration at Cisco! Minimum Requirements * Working level knowledge of Windows desktop computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. * Ability to navigate web and email at high competency level. * Advanced desktop calendar management program experience. * Ability to format high level presentations. * Generally determines own methods and procedures on new assignments, consulting with supervisor as appropriate. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and clients. * Participates in a cross-functional EA network. * Back-up support in absence of other EA's. Using considerable independent judgment and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations, determining when and if executive action is required and often supplies a recommendation where appropriate. * Technical Knowledge of Desktop Applications. * Collaborative style, with excellent teamwork. * Champions Improvements.
