JOB SUMMARY:

Provides prompt, courteous food service to Harrah's and Harveys guests in accordance with established procedures

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :

Serves customers quickly, courteously and efficiently to ensure department guarantee is satisfied.

Obtains food and beverage from prescribed locations and serves customers according to established procedures.

Delivers orders to the specified room in a timely manner, offers to set the table for each guest and reviews the order for accuracy prior to leaving the room.

Presents check to guest for payment after food is delivered while informing the guest the tip is included.

Works cooperatively with co-workers to ensure all orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Works cooperatively with co-workers to ensure that there is adequate supply of china, silver, glassware, and other food service accessories at all times; clean dishes/tables from hallways, clear tables of all items disposing of garbage and placing soiled dishware and linen in appropriate locations; resetting table for future orders to ensure efficient service to guests.

Completes assigned side work as directed.

Familiarizes self with all items on both printed and daily menus.

Assists Coordinator in taking orders and processing all open checks and ensures they are properly tendered and/or accounted for at end of shift.

Familiarizes self and adheres to the principles of guest service skills, and uses them in all interactions.

Delivers alcoholic beverages responsibly by adhering to proper liquor liability standards

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred

2 years Waitperson experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

Literate and fluent in English

Above average communication and guest service skills

Must be at least 21 years of age

Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures

PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift and carry large, heavy banquet trays and beverage trays weighing up to 30 lbs.

Ability to grasp, hold, reach, bend, push-pull, use a step stool, have hand-eye coordination

Ability to constantly walk and stand during shift

Mobility to move quickly and easily throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas

Ability to hear and use visual inspection

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy

environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
