Mechanic Job Description:
Tire Discounters has been doing undercar including but not limited to: shocks, struts, steering, alignments and brakes and under hood including but not limited to: routine and scheduled maintenance, drivability, LOF, brake fluid, coolant, transmission, power steering flushes, fuel system cleaning and more.
Auto Service Technician's Job Responsibilities
* Provide accurate, high level and timely vehicle diagnosis, maintenance and repairs.
* Promptly deliver required service or repairs thereby meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
* Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and overall safety.
* Identifies and promotes our company culture of cooperation and collaboration among all technicians. By doing so the Tire Discounter technician is both a teacher and student regardless of tenure.
* Assist other teammates with other tasks as needed in order to consistently deliver on our minimal expectation of outstanding customer service.
Job Requirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum two years automotive repair experience required. Candidates with no automotive repair experience need not apply.
* Consistent track record for having high productivity and accuracy in repairs.
* Must have own tools.
* Diagnostic scanner experience is a plus.
* ASE certifications required preferred.
* Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to operate vehicles regularly.
* Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
* Ability to list up to 50 lbs.
* This position requires continuous standing, bending, lifting.
* Ability to operate machines and equipment used in the automotive mechanical trade to include the following:
* Ability to perform all tasks with extreme accuracy.
* Working conditions are considered acceptable, but occasionally involve exposure to mechanical hazards and outside weather conditions.
* Alertness and careful attention is required to avoid injury to self and others
