Time Warner Cable Sports currently seeks a freelance Producer/Editor for its Regional Sports Network website, covering the Los Angeles Lakers. The Producer/Editor will play an integral role on the digital team, producing and editing timely, compelling videos showcasing network programming and our team partner. A passion for sports and knowledge of the Los Angeles Lakers is also a must.
Essential Job Functions● Conceptualize, plan, shoot, and edit original web videos that complement network programming and extend viewer engagement and loyalty
● Must have an ever-evolving understanding of the latest editing techniques and visual trends, as well as the agility to incorporate them into existing formats and brand guidelines.
● Produce and write feature copy
● Brainstorm content ideas and storylines with digital team
● Identify and edit network programming clips to feature on Time Warner Cable Sports’ websites
● Stay current on all news and chatter relevant to the Los Angeles Lakers
● Perform other duties as assignedPosition Requirements:Knowledge & Experience (Technical Responsibilities)
● 6+ years of video production experience with strong field production skills.
● Exceptional visual storytelling skills with the ability to work quickly and cleanly under deadline
● Advanced proficiency with video equipment (e.g. cameras, lighting, audio), video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere, After Effects), photo editing software (e.g. Photoshop), content management systems (e.g. Adobe CQ5), and asset management systems (e.g. thePlatform); knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus
● Sound editorial judgment with the ability to work for a corporate brand with defined policies/guidelines
● Passion for sports and knowledge of the Los Angeles Lakers
● Must be able to provide examples of your work
● Fluency in Spanish is a plus
Formal Education & Certification
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
