The Regional Pharmacy Informaticist is accountable for activities associated with the implementation, management, and maintenance of new and existing Pharmacy related software products and the educational needs associated with the use of all such products. This position will assist with vendor software system installations and help to ensure that all user needs, priorities, interfaces, and changes are addressed and that system-wide Information Technology standards are adhered to.

This position reports to the Regional Director, Clinical Informatics, with a matrix reporting relationship to the Pharmacy Directors in the Region. This position provides pharmacy subject matter expertise and direction in the effective use and continued growth of software products, and will assist in maintaining good vendor and IT relations.

The Regional Pharmacy Informaticist serves as liaison among and between stakeholders, such as hospital departments, Region facilities, Dignity Health Corporate Information Technology, other Dignity Health facilities, and vendors, in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. The Regional Pharmacy Informaticist will be expected to remain current in Pharmacy clinical practice and operations, understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals, serve as an internal consultant to clinical and business departments to identify and achieve program goals as well as, balance the demands of the Region's facilities and Dignity Health corporate Clinical Information Technology

Registered pharmacist with recent inpatient pharmacy work experience. Must possess an understanding of modern advanced inpatient and outpatient pharmacy management systems and reporting capabilities. Must have communication and project management skills suitable for participation in complex information system implementation projects. Experience in managing clinical applications and databases required. Must demonstrate working knowledge of all aspects of pharmacy operations, including clinical monitoring, order entry, and pharmacy information system maintenance.

Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Excellent presentation skills and conflict resolution skills required.
