JOB OVERVIEW:
Coordinate or assist in the purchasing, receiving, storage, and/or dispensing of food and non-food items to meet the needs of the various departments and functions.

Role includes but is not limited to the following duties & responsibilities:
Inspect items upon receipt to ensure that quantity and quality of items are correct and acceptable; check invoices for correct prices and quantities; update receiving systems where applicable.
Purchase items that are low in par-stocks
Process receiving paperwork and forward to Accounting on a daily basis.
Generate a list of food items ordered but not received and forward to kitchen management on a daily basis.
Maintain internal controls over the requisitioning and issuing of items thorough a formal requisitioning system.
In conjunction with Rooms Division, F&B and Kitchen Managers, determine and maintain hotel inventory par levels based on turnover of supplies; forward to Managers requests to replenish inventory levels as needed.
Store goods received in the appropriate storerooms and deliver supplies to departments.
Complete timely and accurate inventories as required; maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas and storerooms.
Assist in the preparation of reports, cost summaries and/or analysis, and other paperwork as needed.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Supervise staff that helps in the receiving and/or storage process.
May assist with other duties as assigned such as investigating price variances.
