Job Summary:
The Staffing Coordinator handles client and employee scheduling issues which will occur outside of normal office (weekend) hours as well as some office hours (Wed, Fri, Sat, Mon - 11 hours + Caregiving hours). They will monitor the telephony (automated time keeping system) for weekend hours and other office coordination/clerical duties. This is a part-time position and the hours will be supplemented by the caregiving hours (see below).
The Caregiver will provide assistance with tasks intended to help a client with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living). These non-medical, routine personal healthcare tasks are characterized by hands-on touching. You will perform light housekeeping duties, preparing meals, running errands and possible transportation to appointments. This is a part-time position to be combined with the Weekend Staffing Coordinator position (hours depending on your availability and willingness to accept shifts).
Office Job Functions:
Answers telephone, takes inquiries or messages using proper telephone etiquette.
Takes referrals and inquiries on the phone.
Recruits caregivers, schedules and conducts the interviews as well as screens and tests all applicants.
Updates weekend hours in ClearCare scheduling software.
Files documentation of associate work record(s) for all caregiver associates.
Maintains documentation/filing for all clientele.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, schedules after hours open shifts with appropriate associates, making all follow through calls necessary to produce an effective, smooth flowing schedule.
Maintains a written log of all actions taken over the weekend to report it (EOD Report via email) on Monday AM.
Performs weekend on-call duties as well as maintains on-call availability and contact with the answering service.
Assists with other office duties assigned by the Operations Manager as well as attends appropriate office mtgs.
On-Call Duties:
Takes calls or message's from the answering service using proper telephone etiquette and responds promptly to resolve client or employee issues.
Takes referrals and inquiries. Calls will come in from answering service via text(s).
Updates weekend hours in ClearCare from home computer/iPad or Smartphone.
Makes notes in the documented events (ClearCare) module for each call/issue that comes in.
Caregiver Job Functions:
You will provide assistance with tasks intended to help a client with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living). These non-medical, routine personal healthcare tasks are characterized by hands-on touching and may include (but are not limited to):
Bathing
Personal Grooming and Hygiene
Dressing
Toileting & Elimination
Mobility
Nutrition/Hydration & Feeding
Medication Reminders
Mental/Cognitive Needs
You will also perform a variety of household services/tasks to ease the lifestyle of clients which include (but are not limited to):
Light Housekeeping
Meal Planning & Preparation
Laundry
Helping with Pets
Grocery Shopping & Errands
Transportation to Appointments
Standby and/or Assist with Transfers and Ambulation (some lifting required)
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Strong scheduling experience.
Minimum of 6 months PERSONAL CARE experience (caring for a non-relative) as a caregiver.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and to properly transfer patients.
Must pass background check, DMV check, and pre-employment drug screening.
Basic office and computer skills, organizational abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal relations abilities as well as excellent telephone skills.
Able to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment.
Read, write, speak, and understand English.
Working Conditions/Environment
Works primarily out of the local office and at home while on-call (Home Computer, IPad or Smartphone).
Reports To: Operations Manager
Pay Rate
$11.00/hr to $12.00/hr DOE
