About this job

The Laundry Attendant is responsible

for the washing, drying and folding of all linen and towels for the hotel in

accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security

rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.

* Wash, dry, and fold hotel

linen and towels. Press linens as needed.

* Properly use all soaps, chemicals

and equipment for cleaning linen and towels.

* Operate and maintain all laundry

equipment; vent screens, drain traps and lint filters.

* Maintain and rotate a

supply of clean linen and towels.

* Assist in monthly linen inventory.

*

Maintain the linen discard log on a daily/weekly basis.

* Keep the laundry

room, housekeeping office and housekeeping storage areas clean and organized.

Expedite the delivery of linen and requested amenities to room/suite

attendants.

* Gather and process guest dry cleaning.

* Notify Laundry

Supervisor of any problems with linen.

Minimum 1 year of experience working in housekeeping laundry is required, preferably in a high volume hotel, conference center or resort.

* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

* Highly organized and detail-oriented.

* Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.

* Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA and local health department regulations.

* Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.

* Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
