General Summary :
Provides direct care to patients under supervision of physician, including, but not limited to, physical assessments, formulation of care plans, patient follow-ups, telephone/home/hospital/clinic evaluations, maintenance of records, and participation in education programs. Supports Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.
Minimum Licensure & Certification Required (if applicable) :
1. Current license from Maryland Board of Nursing or Compact State as Registered Nurse (RN).
2. Licensed as Nurse Practitioner (NP) in State of Maryland; completion of nurse practitioner program approved by Maryland Board of Nursing; successful completion of national certifying examination acceptable to Maryland Board of Nursing; verification of current national certification.
3. Current registration with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
4. Current BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS Provider certification from American Heart Association.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
1. Graduate of accredited school of nursing; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), with advanced practice specialty.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in professional nursing role; minimum of two (2) years of experience in pain management preferred.
3. Able to use computers.
4. Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends English.
