As a member of the Hardback Caf team, Managers are responsible for m anaging the department by supervising and executing corporate plans and actions as well as creating a positive team atmosphere, and increasing sales utilizing company financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain sales to plan for the Hardback Coffee Caf
* Effectively manage inventory by establishing and adjusting ordering parameters, forecasting usage, and controlling waste
* Prepare beverages to Hastings' standards for speed, quality, and consistency
* Stays aware of industry trends by competitive shopping and reading trade journals
* Comply with standards for merchandising, stocking, and storing product
* Correctly follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
* Welcome and connect with every customer and help influence purchasing decisions
* Follow proper cash handling policies and procedures and conduct a successful cash audit upon the completion of each shift
* Takes advantage of new training opportunities and tools
Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED
* One year coffee/food service management experience
* Cash handling experience
* Excellent customer service skills
* Strong time management and organizational skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
