Position Description
Guest Relations Representatives act as a liaison between the plants and the guest. They undergo extensive training in the manufacturing facilities to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of products, including knowledge of product components and their application.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide information to guests in response to inquiries about products and services
Process and resolve guest complaints.
Troubleshoot product issues
Work with the plant managers to resolve guest complaints
Correspond with guests via telephone, mail, or email in response to product issues and complaints.
Maintain updated records of warranty claims
Track complaint data using Microsoft Excel.
Additional Responsibilities
Help to keep the in-house door program updated.
Correspond with the Menards stores on the current status of any guest complaints.
Additional duties as assigned by the Guest Services Team Lead.
Skills/Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Able to tactfully deal with guests
Able to write and speak clearly and accurately
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Excellent follow through skills
Previous work experience in an office setting
Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Training relating to office procedures and negotiation is preferred
Working knowledge of construction industry is preferred
Willing to undergo intensive product training by working in manufacturing facilities to learn the production process and understand product issues and malfunctions.
