Job Purpose:
Responsible for processing customer purchase orders and related activities, such as, order entry, shipping, and invoicing.
Duties:
* Arranges shipment of material to worldwide customer base by checking stock to determine availability; reviewing pricing, entering and expediting orders for customers.
* Prepares shipping documents for domestic and international shipments, including airway bills and electronic shipper's export declaration.
* Keeps customers informed by notifying customers of shipping and stock availability issues; answering questions; responding to requests.
* Processes orders by editing for price, availability, and customer requirements.
* Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading; reconciling quantities; noting discrepancies. (Must be able to recognize potential issues in order processing to prevent problems)
* Organizes and prioritizes work by reading and routing correspondence; collecting information; initiating telecommunications; following policies and procedures.
* Works closely with Sales and Warehouse personnel to prevent problems and avoid delays.
* Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
* Contributes to team by working to meet customer service related goals and activities.
Skills/Qualifications:
Organization, Quality Management, Deadline-Oriented, Dependability, Persistence, Time Management, Independence, Documentation Skills, Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English, Must be able to converse with customers verbally and in writing in a professional manner.
