Wells Fargo's Global Banking group delivers international product and credit solutions to corporate, commercial and foreign-owned companies engaged in international commerce.

Through a network of 14 offices throughout the US and a network of International offices, Global Banking actively partners with the wholesale bank to bring cross border lending, trade finance, foreign exchange, treasury management and other solutions to our clients.

The Global Banking Consultant (GBC) is our in-market expert responsible for delivering the globe to our internal commercial bank, corporate bank and ABL customers. This is a sales focused international position which requires the following combination of skills:

Bank credit training with experience analyzing, structuring and closing middle market credit transactions Successful sales experience both internally (to bank partners) and externally (to middle market cfos and treasurers) with the sales acumen to close both customer cross-sell and new prospect opportunities Experience working with international credit, trade, structured trade and payments products The GBC will be looked to by Wholesale banking as an expert who is able to independently advise, train and work with internal partners to consultatively sell customers customized solutions involving international credit, foreign exchange, international treasury and trade.

The GBC will collaboratively partner with wholesale relationship managers and business development officers to cross-sell international solutions to existing customers and source new prospect opportunities.

The GBC will be the first contact point with the customer or prospect for international credit products such as trade cycle finance, cross border lending, structured trade finance, EXIM working capital and other international financing options. They may also be the first point of contact for payment products such as trade services, international treasury management, and foreign exchange.

The GBC will be the conduit through which Wells Fargo delivers products and services available through our Global branch network to our US customers. Subsequently the GBC must possess leadership skills to establish cross-border and cross-functional deal teams to develop and implement global solutions.

The GBC will operate within an assigned geographic territory, reporting directly to the national sales manager and dotted line to the local GB Regional Vice President. The position will be governed with an Incentive Compensation Plan, under which the GBC will be responsible for defined annual pre-tax pre-provision income growth targets and regional GB office growth targets. They will also be responsible for maintaining an up to date and active top prospect list in conjunction with Wholesale banking partners; conducting an active cross-sell program on existing customers and on joint prospects; conducting/participating in training and sales presentations; and remaining engaged in the sales process until the product or relationship is booked.

5+ years work experience in one or more of the following areas: Global Banking, Relationship Management, or Structured Finance and Credit. Global banking knowledge in payment products, trade, structured finance and credit. Able to independently advise partners and customers. Direct commercial or corporate bank sales experience with a demonstrable record of success. International banking experience exposure to/knowledge of international banking products. Business/commercial credit analysis and structuring experience. Experience working in a collaborative sales environment, leveraging partnerships to increase sales revenues. Driven and motivated to deliver outstanding performance. Experienced in trade finance. Prior experience as a relationship manager. Demonstrated knowledge in both international credit and trade payments solutions. Ability to understand the finance and risk mitigation of needs of prospects, pre-qualifying lending opportunities, preparing deal memos, and outlining recommended structures. Adept at building collaborative relationships with business partners.
