PrideStaff is seeking a conscientious, motivated and experienced ALUMINUM WELDER / FABRICATOR to join and help grow our client's team. The successful candidate will be a mechanically inclined, self-starter with an understanding of fabrication challenges.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Fabrication specialist with demonstrated ability to perform fit-up, TIG and MIG welding of aluminum, stainless steel and other metals.
  • Using blueprints and work instructions, develop plan, set up and layout weld work and develop and use fixturing as needed.
  • Weld tasks can include plasma arc welding of large shells, tube bending and torch brazing.
  • Ability to understand and enable weld processes both manual and mechanized in order to increase department efficiency.
  • Collaborate on weld and fabrication processes to meet department goals on time and within budgets to meet or exceed customer expectations. Strive to achieve zero returns.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes with input from subordinates, engineering and others.
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch and other hand held tools as needed.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives including process improvement efforts.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Approach work with a positive attitude and willingness to cross train.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years on-the-job, hands-on aluminum Welding experience required. We are not looking for a trainee at this time.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with welder concepts, practice and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fabrication techniques with ability to execute.
  • Familiarity with welding equipment such as torches, tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves and gas cylinders as well as weld safety.
  • Ability to use judgment and experience to meet department goals.
  • ASME and/or PED certifications a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints including weld symbols and diagrams.
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework in welding or related technology degree or certification a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to fluently communicate, read and write in the English language.
