Closing Manager

Specialty's Cafe & Bakery, a made-from-scratch concept that focuses on quality and guest service is expanding! We currently have over 50 stores and are rapidly expanding in California and the Pacific Northwest. We are currently looking for a dependable, hardworking, and passionate Closing Shift Manager to join our team in Santa Monica!


Some Essential Functions:

• Close (or Open) the Café using designated Shift Manager Checklists
• Ensure Team Members comply with all Policies and Procedures, including Team Member Position Checklists
• Activate and/or deactivate security alarms as needed
• Prepare deposits and reconcile cash drawers and safe from previous shifts
• Support Catering Manager with any catering needs
• Conduct Succession Planning 1-on-1s with designated Team Members
• Other projects/duties as assigned by the General Manager

The Requirements/Education:

• Read, write and communicate effectively in English with all levels of the organization
• Basic math skills and computer competency
• Physical requirements:
  • Be physically able to work an eight (8) hour day or more while on your feet
  • Climbing, reaching, walking, sitting, grasping, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing, and a great deal of smiling
  • Able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work standing up for sustained periods of up to 4 hours
• 1-2 years of restaurant supervisory experience or 90 days in position within Specialty’s Café & Bakery at a Trainer level
