At T.C. Harris School, Youth Counselors provide therapeutic and educational services to children, adolescents and young adults with developmental disabilities and emotional disturbances. The position requires continuous supervision of clients while they engage in their daily living activities. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the types of behaviors typical of individuals with emotional and developmental disabilities. Youth Counselors are trained to use proper interventions and therapeutic approaches while assisting our students. The Youth Counselor position is rewarding for those who are looking to make a difference.
