Sodexo is seeking an entry level Food Manager 1 at Cooper University Hospital a 600 bed acute care facility located in Camden, NJ. In this highly visible role, your main area of responsibility will be over the patient meal services which is currently utilizing "At Your Request " a specialty patient meal delivery program.
Responsibilities will include:
Daily patient meal rounding interacting with the patients and nursing staff
Identifying and implementing process improvement to increase patient satisfaction Tray audits and ensuring timely delivery of patient meals Training and development of staff Ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance Opening and closing of the kitchen operations on a rotating basis Direct supervision of 35 non- union hourly associates The successful candidate will have at least 1-2 years food supervisory/management experience, computer literacy, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues as well as excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills. Prior experience in health-care with a nutritional background would be a plus for this role.

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
