GREAT PART TIME OPPORTUNITY FOR COOK - CHEF - FOOD SERVICE PERSONNEL
INTERNATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DORMITORY COOK - PART TIME OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE
Gphomestay International high school student dormitory located in Haverhill MA is currently seeking a part time, passionate, motivated, energetic and creative cook with an outstanding attitude and the passion to serve, to begin employment for the duration of the academic school year beginning August 2015 to operate within our onsite kitchen facility to prepare meals daily for approximately 20-25 international high school students.
Part time position shift hours are 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday thru Friday to prepare, cook and serve dinner as well as prepare and store breakfast and lunch items as needed.
Job duties will include:
Operating our kitchen to provide balanced meals / snacks for our dormitory residents while keeping within the guidelines, certifications, menus and food cost budgets as established within the location and to maintain a warm, welcoming environment within our dormitory community.
Inspect and insure all equipment used for food service is performing correctly and to notify the Dormitory manager of any service needed for preventive and regular maintenance of equipment.
Maintain adequate inventory of food / dry goods supplies for the location and to inform the Dormitory manager to order food / dry goods supplies from vendors or purchase directly as needed as well as perform daily/weekly inventory checks to insure minimal spoilage and waste of products.
Insure and be accountable that the location is kept up to proper food safety and sanitation standards as established by the local Board of Health Departments.
Assist in creating monthly menus to be posted within the location.
Insure all food service related equipment and areas within the location are kept clean and be cleaned on a regular basis.
All other food service related duties as needed.
Our dormitory facility is open every day during the academic school year with the exception of Christmas vacation break.
Food Service Certifications required as mandated by state / local laws
Experience in preparing Asian cuisine a plus!
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
Candidates will be required to pass a clean background check and pass a drug screening test as required by Cambridge/Gphomestay and any other state mandated employment requirements.
