(Automation Personnel Services in West Houston is seeking qualified candidates for an IMMEDIATE Direct Hire opportunity as a Utility Lineman Trainee for a Telecommunications company in the South West Houston area.
Compensation: $13.60 an hour for entry level & $16.70 with experience
***IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR THOSE WHO QUALIFY***
Job description:
*The Lineman's function is to work aloft in the effort to construct, maintain, reroute, and rebuild our customers aerial plant
* Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed
*Must pass physical qualifications
* Must speak, read, and write English & follow verbal & written instructions
* Ability to climb poles with leg climbers and body belt
Requirements:
* Drive company vehicle in performance of job duties
* Set, remove and repair utility poles
* Guy, lash, de-lash, pull & place strand, cable, and grounding systems
* Safely and competently operate cable lashers, gasoline drills, chain saws, chain hoists, hydraulic buckets and augers and other applicable tools.
