This position is responsible for leading the relationship at the store level with Ag Retailers and implementing marketing programs and conducting service activities, in order to achieve objectives for volume, revenue, profit, consumer experience, retention and satisfaction, under the direction of the Retail Accounts Manager and Business Development Manager.

This role is critical for the execution of the marketing strategy for the product lines going into the Ag retail channel. This role is also responsible for executing and supporting the In Store Experience, Grand Opening Events, Joint Sponsorship Opportunities, Promotions, and Groundswell strategies.

This position will cover a territory of Northern Georgia, Eastern Tennesse and Western North Carolina. This position requires 40-60% travel (2-3 nights out per week) and will be based from a home office within the territory.

Principal Accountabilities:

40% - Execute established strategies and marketing activities that service the Ag. Retail channel by working closely with the Retail Accounts Manager. Initiate and support programs and activities to increase consumer retail sales at the store level. Represent Cargill to the customer's key leaders in the field (e.g. Store Managers). Develop strong relationships with Store personnel as point of contact and service, and develop a deep understanding of the customer's business. Responsible for providing input on marketing strategy working closely with the Regional Accounts Manager-- utilizing broad thinking about opportunities and sharing best practices. Demonstrates leadership collaboration with team. Key activities include competitive market evaluation, developing an understanding of competitor's offers, products and services, as well as identifying risks and opportunities for Cargill to grow the retail segment.

40% - Key activities at the store level include: in store merchandising & consumer sales, employee training, inventory reconciliation, feed rotation, managing customer complaints, provide input on promotion design and sequencing, execution of the In Store experience, Grand opening events, joint sponsorships opportunities, promotions and groundswell strategies.

20% - Administrative activities related to travel expenses, performance evaluation, store reports, sales readiness reports

Required Qualifications

2 years experience in a customer facing role or retail store which includes working with customers, consumers and retail services

Highly organized and self motivated, able to set and follow priorities, manage multiple projects and deadlines

Ability to create and sustain relationships through strong written/verbal communication skills.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability of responsible decision making.

Strong presentation and adult facilitation which includes the ability and willingness to conduct training sessions for groups as large as 100 people

Must be a team player with desire and ability to work across multiple job families and multiple layers of the organization.

Ability to travel 40-60% (2-3 nights out per week)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree

Knowledge of animal feeding and management practices.
