The Senior Director of Learning for Commercial Services and Enterprise Systems will be responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the Learning and Development team focused on our Commercial Services organization and will include Sales, Revenue Management, Hilton Reservations (HRCC), Global Marketing, Digital and Loyalty and Partnerships, as well as our Enterprise Systems such as Property Management and Reservations systems. The team provides consulting expertise and will be responsible for content development for all new learning initiatives in these areas.

What will I be doing?


The Senior Director of Learning for Commercial Services and Enterprise Systems will be responsible for leading the development of curricula for each area of our Commercial Services function and ensuring that all learning programming is aligned with the business objectives of the Commercial Services organization, the Learning and Development strategic direction for the company and with Hilton Worldwide's overarching objectives.


 


Other key priorities are listed below:

  • Lead the learning strategy and execution as related to our Enterprise Systems tools and software
  • Responsible for ensuring that all learning is delivered in an effective and cost efficient manner

  • Will be expected to build effective, collaborative relationships with clients, to provide excellent service delivery

  • Utilize learning and development expertise to guide and influence decisions made on training developed for Team Members at all levels of the organization, both field based and corporate

  • Primary business partners will be HR Consulting, other Learning and Development peers, and the senior leaders within the Commercial Services and IT organizations as well as their department heads

  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, as well as excellent written communication skills

  • Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate

  • Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems and to develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other Team Members as appropriate

  • Budget development and management skills, including the ability to track expenses against commitments, set priorities for funding, and develop annual budget

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a Corporate Learning and Development organization with a background in Sales, Revenue Management or other commercial areas

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with the Learning and Development theory, with experience in instructional design and learning delivery via in-person and virtual methods

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a senior leadership role managing a team

  • Experience working with a global, matrixed organization

  • Ability to travel up to at least 40% of the time

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master's Degree

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a Corporate Learning and Development organization with a background in Sales or other commercial areas

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience at the Director level

  • A minimum of five (5) years of Hospitality industry experience preferred

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior management role

  • CPLP certification
