Summary
The Interactive Designer will work on web-based, interactive, and traditional online projects, including designing and building the look, layout and features of web, animated and online advertising. They will help in
developing creative concepts, atitles and overall directions for social and digital advertising for external and internal clients.
The job involves understanding both graphic design and web development. They will also help with maintenance and additions to new and existing websites. They work with development teams or managers for keeping the sites up-to-date and prioritizing needs, among other tasks.
Interactive Designer Duties
All aspects of creating websites. Upon meeting with clients and assessing their needs, help create and maintain the product. Their duties include, but aren't limited to the
plans, site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality.
Develops site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content.
Develops site content and graphics by coordinating with copywriters and graphic artists; designing images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, etc.
Upgrades site by updating content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating improvement options; introducing new technology; maintaining links.
Maintains site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards; editing submissions.
May work on other projects including email blasts, animation and other advertising design and maintenance projects as needed
Requirements
Have a bachelor's degree, with 4-6 years experience
Skills to include:
Fundamentals of design imaging
Basic web design
Animation
Multimedia design
Content management
Editing for video and audio
Multimedia programming and technology
Knowledge of HTML5,CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, Wireframing
