Job Summary MULTIPLE POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE.

As part of Shared Services team, provide broad range of financial services to LSA units participating in the program, according to established high level of customer service.

Duties Include:

Initiate and process financial transactions including student/guest reimbursements, payment request forms, and purchase orders, utilizing M-Pathways. Reconcile student financial and cash/deposit transactions following established procedures. Receive information from department faculty, staff, and administrators, prepare paperwork or on-line submission, and ensure compliance with LSA and UM policies..

Track transactions within system to ensure proper payment. Follow-up as needed to ensure timely processing. Work closely with the Shared Services Center (SSC) AP to assist with resolving open vouchers and other payment status inquires.

Triage and answer questions from faculty and staff, routing to others as appropriate.

Participate in converting tracking and filing systems to electronic or shared forms of file management.

Provide back-up to other LSA Shared Services staff and assist with special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications* Some college level coursework in finance or accounting preferred, along with two to three years of work experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance. The successful candidate will have prior experience with a broad range of financial activities, preferably in an academic or non-profit environment. Excellent, demonstrated customer service skills are essential as customer service is core to the mission of Shared Services. In addition, candidates must have the ability to follow or implement procedures and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Well-developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work with diverse group of customers, and demonstrated competence in verbal and written communication are all required for this position. Mastery of Excel and comfort with changing technology essential. Must have the ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with co-workers. Candidates will need to attend to detail, exhibit sound judgment, follow work through to completion, and meet high work standards.
