POSITION PURPOSE
This position ensures that Human Resources and other business initiatives are fully supported with the appropriate process, tools, and metrics. The analyst accomplishes this by using rigorous process and data analysis, adherence to formal project management and project methodology working with business and IT partners. The HRS Business Analyst is also responsible for ensuring process and system integration across the breadth of HR functional activities and preserving confidentiality of sensitive associate and business data.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
10% Organize current and to be business processes using business and systems expertise, and accepted procedures and methodologies.
20% Document business requirements and work with both IT and business partners on appropriate design decisions.
20% Participate in appropriate steps within the solution development lifecycle to ensure functional requirements are met and meetings are facilitated with functional SMEs, peers, management, and other key stakeholders.
20% Participate in end to end implementation planning to include change management, training and support.
10% Facilitate aspects of individual projects to include work plans, issues resolution, and status reports.
10% Prepare, develop or configure programs and processes typically of moderate to high complexity.
10% Participate in and perform appropriate quality assurance testing
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Sr. HR Services Business Analyst or Manager HR Services No direct responsibility for supervising others.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

- SQL based reporting skills and business report development skills are required for this role. Experience and strong proficiency in writing and modifying SQL code and developing SQL based reports a plus.
- Business report development in any of the following are a strong plus: QMF, DB2, MS Access, Excel, VBA, Terradata, SQL Server Reporting Services, Microstrategy or other BI reporting tools, and relational database concepts.
- 1+ years experience with business report and dashboard development, data management, data analysis and visualization skills, and familiarity with relational database and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience with HR, Payroll, Benefits or Finance systems and business reporting in those areas.
- Familiarity with structured project management techniques, effective consulting and facilitation skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests concurrently.
- Ability to respond quickly to ad hoc requests for data and information with emphasis on accuracy and customer service.
